Hints and tips showing how to pass level 972 Candy Crush Soda Saga without boosters by Cookie
Level 972 is classified as a hard level so you can expect to lose a few lives before you manage to pass it.
You can almost forget about the jam, it will be spread as you clear the blockers and this is what you need to concentrate on. There is licorice under the blockers which makes life harder still as this also has to be removed before the jam can take over.
Unlock the wrapped candy in the middle and try to switch it with a stripe to make a start on some of the bloxckers at the bottom, then just concentrate on making as many special candies and combos as you can.
Remember that when spreading jam the fish will rarely go where you need them the most, so when thinking about switching a fish with another special candy look to see where there are jam free spaces, if there is a square on it's own without jam this is likely to be where the fish will go, so save the stripe or wrap and wait until the single spaces are full of jam, then the fish are more likely to go where you need them.
I'm not sure this level is possible without a Rainbow Kimmy, I managed to make one fairly close to the end of the game in the video below. I had played many games without success before I managed to complete level 972.

Horrendous level. Not even come close. Never had a rainbow kimmy and I doubt starting with one would be much use.

Following my comment yesterday, I started with all 3 boosters and just finished with one life left. Glad to leave this level behind!
You ain't kidding! This level is THE WORST!
I'm finding many levels now need Rainbow Kimmies to win otherwise it takes weeks.
This can be done without a "rainbow kimmy" So just keep at it and you will pass it given time>
