The jam starts off in the middle square under the black candies.
Before you begin have a good look around the board and see if there are any chances to make special candies. You can forget about the jam to begin with and concentrate on clearing the blockers.
All the blockers will have to be cleared in order to spread the jam and the jam will almost take care of itself once you start clearing the blockers.
Look at the board carefully before every move and work as close to the bottom as you can to take advantage of any cascades caused by the candies filling in.
Colour bombs are fairly easy to make so don't miss any and switch any you do get with another special candy for best effect.
