Fish are really useful on level 811.
Don't worry too much about spreading the jam to begin with, concentrate on clearing the blockers, especially the ones at the top as there is a colour bomb hidden under those.
As you begin to clear the blockers you should find that the jam starts to spread as you work and you will only have to think seriously about getting the whole board covered in the last 15 moves or so.
Spreading the jam is relatively easy compared to clearing the blockers, and fish will get the last few squares to complete the game.
Remember, fish will target blockers if they are not carrying jam and they will ignore blockers and go for empty squares if they are carrying jam.
