Candy Crush Soda Saga Level 512

Hints and tips for level 512 Soda Saga
This is the first tricky level of the new episode, Gumdrop Acres.
You will need to use the purple candies a lot to stand any chance at all of clearing level 512.
Try not to use the purple candies for matches of three if you can help it, you need to make fours or fives with the purple candies to clear the maximum amount of frosting.
A colour bomb switched with a stripe or wrap will be helpful but ultimately it will be the purples that will clear the level.
You will need a bit of luck, but the more cascades you can make the more purple candies will fall, so try to work as close to the bottom of the board as you can, but don't forget to check the rest of the board before you make a move in case there is a chance for a good combo near the top.

Level 512 is impossible! Hope that King will come to their senses and change it! Evil of them to have put a level like this at the beginning of a new episode.

I agree with the first comment. I'm about to give up on Soda Crush.

The number of bears on this level keeps changing for me 21 to 18 to 20... It's weird

I get 19, 20, or 21. Doesn't make much difference as I don't get close. Only time I was close, with 2 hits needed, I couldn't use my lollipops as I wasn't connected to Facebook, because the app frequently doesn't connect me and I forget to check. Frustrating level.

Did King make this easier, or did I just get lucky? Don't really care, just that I got through it. I did listen to the comments here that said make cascades to get more black candies. Maybe that helped.

This is the worst level I have ever played. I was stuck for weeks and like many of you thought this just might be the end of me playing CCS.

However, after reading the comments here about saving the purples, and another week or so of persistence, I finally got 2 sets of 5xpurples=colour bomb that clears a whole layer off the board, multiple 4xpurples downward and not sideways, and many 4-square purples to release 4 purple fish. I also had acquired some gold coins and lolly pop hammers from playing a bonus 5-game-to-win-crown tournaments. It took three sets of tournament winnings because I finally got really close a couple of times but was always left with one bear and not enough coins to buy another 5+ moves: ARRRRGGGGGHHHH!!!!

But then I finally got a really cooperative board (so I only had to buy one set of 5+ more turns -- so 40 moves) PLUS a lolly-pop hammer before I could put this evil level behind me.

I think King really has to add at least 5-10 more moves to this impossible board or it is going to lose a lot of players. I refuse to buy extras and if I hadn't won the coins and hammers, I'm sure I would have packed this impossible level in and given up the game by now.

Definitely impossible within the current# of moves allotted right now.
