When you get to level 166 on Candy Crush Soda Saga you will meet up with the stickiest, messiest obstacle yet" Candy Crush Soda Saga Bubblegum!
Candy Crush Soda Saga bubblegum is pink and grows in much the same way as Candy Crush Soda Saga chocolate, if you don't destroy at least one piece of bubblegum with your move it will expand by another square.
However, that is where the similarity ends.
Soda Saga bubblegum does not cover up the candies, it stays underneath the candies so you can still see them and match them.

Candy Crush Soda Saga bubblegum grows first UNDER the candies and in order to remove the bubblegum you need to match the candy which is on top of the bubblegum.
However the Soda Saga bubblegum can also grow a second layer OVER the candies, so you can still see the candy inside and can still match it with another candy. See the candies in the white square in the above image.
Once the bubblegum has grown over the candy it will nee matching twice to remove it.
Strategies for beating Candy Crush Soda Saga bubblegum.
1. First look carefully at the board to see where all the bubblegum is. In later levels it will be hidden under honey, or frosting, or may be locked behind licorice or cupcake blockers.
2. Next look for any opportunities to make special candies and if that isn't possible because the board is restricted remove any blockers to give you space to move.
3. Wherever possible work with the candies on top of the bubblegum to prevent it from spreading. Candy Crush Soda Saga bubblegum will only spread if you don't destroy at least one piece with every move.
4. If there is bubblegum in difficult to get at places try to match a fish with another special candy so hopefully the fish will carry the special candy to the bubblegum and destroy it.
5. Remember, if the bubblegum covers the candy it needs to be hit twice.
6. As in Chocolate levels, you are unlikely to beat the bubblegum levels with matches of 3. You will need combos to pass.
