I found that starting in the top squares, then moving to the bottom, worked best for me on this level.
Once the first moves are out of the way then you can work in the bottom squares, as long as there is no better move in the top ones.
Make fish where possible and only make stripes if they will be useful to you. There is no point making a stripe if there is nothing for it to hit when matched, or if there is no chance of switching it with a fish or wrap.
There are not many moves so you can't afford to waste them so only make useful moves and look carefully at the whole board before making them.
The two sides don't have any effect on each other unless you use sideways stripes or combos so you can treat them separately for normal moves.
