Level 862 Soda Saga is classified as a hard level so you can expect to lose quite a few lives before you manage to pass it.
The jam begins in the middle, so you will have to hit the jam with a stripe or a stripe/wrap combo to get it spreading as there are no candies in it to match with.
As you are looking for the special candies to get the jam spreading you should be clearing the blockers at the bottom of the board, you can't spread the jam if there are blockers in the way.
Don't forget about the licorice along the top, this also has to be cleared and that row covered in jam.
Stripes and stripe/wrap combos will take care of the licorice and blockers, but you'll need plenty.
Fish/stripe combos are good, but they don't always go where you need them the most, I find they tend to go to the lines that need least squares filling, so look carefully at where you need the jam most and try to fill in the single squares before you switch the fish and stripe, hopefully this will force the fish to go where it's needed.
