You need to make special candies and combos, but you can't afford to let the chocolate grow too much while you're making them. Try to do alternate moves, one for a special or combo and the next to destroy chocolate, unless making your specials does both jobs, which is obviously the best way.
Its quite easy to make colour bombs and colouring candies so if you can get them together it's worth letting the chocolate grow for a few moves as the resulting Rainbow Kimmy will clear the board.
Look carefully at the whole board before every move so you don't miss the good moves.
